Here we have the Deathcard of Obergerfreiter Willi Vad who served in a Grenadier Regiment. Willi was born on 13th March 1920 in Frankfurt am Main and died on 9th September 1943, South-East of Brjansk (Russia)
Brjansk was located westwards of Orel and North East of Kursk. Willi Vad died South Eastwards of Brjansk - Which suggests he died in between the Orel and Kursk Region. Willi's Death is suspected to be apart of the Russians Offensive in 1943, as Colonel Greneral Markian Popov lead a force to re-take the City. The Wehrmacht on the retreat allowed for the a reforming of the Soviet forces, encoperating Brjansk into the 2nd Baltic Front.

"I have fought the good fight, my course is full and I have kept the faith. Now the crown of justice lies ready for me" [2.Tim., 4,7-8] - A verse from the Bible, Timothy dennoting that Willi has followed his faith and that God will judge and decide his faith.
